Dr. K.K. Khandelwal’s journey in scouting began in his childhood, deeply embedding the values and principles of the scouting movement into his life. From his early days as a Cub, through his time as a Scout and later as a Rover during his school and college years, he actively participated in almost every type of scouting event. This early immersion laid the foundation for his lifelong dedication to scouting and its ideals.

Since November 25, 2005, Dr. Khandelwal has been serving with distinction in various capacities within the Bharat Scouts and Guides. His roles have included:

From July 9, 2017, Dr. Khandelwal has been leading the national scouting organization, steering it towards new heights and expanding its influence both domestically and internationally.

His dedication to elevating scouting on a global platform has seen him actively participate in World Conferences and International Jamborees and various Asia-Pacific Region Events.

 Recognizing his significant contributions, Dr. Khandelwal has been honored with prestigious awards both nationally and internationally, including the **Silver Elephant Award**, the highest scouting honor in India, and the **Silver Tiger Award** from the Bangladesh Scouts, their highest accolade.

Under Dr. Khandelwal’s leadership, notable events such as the first International Cultural Jamboree at Alvas Campus, Moodbidri in December 2022, and the 18th National Scouts and Guides Jamboree in Rajasthan in January 2023, have successfully brought together tens of thousands of Scouts and Guides from India and abroad, fostering a spirit of global brotherhood and cultural exchange.
